Garlic Bacon Flank Steak - Quick And Yummy!

1 Medium sized flank steak
Bacon strips
Garlic salt

This is a recipe that I inherited from our mother. It's quick, easy, and my family loves it! First, season meat with garlic salt and pound the flank steak with meat hammer (our mother used to use a plate and the whole house, a 60s ranch, would rattle). Next, season both sides of the steak and pound both sides again. Cut meat in strips and take an uncooked bacon strip and lay it on a meat strip. Curl up the meat and roll until strip is done; hold it in place with a toothpick. Do this until all strips are done. Place meat on a cookie sheet or Corningware roaster. Place under a broiler set to high for 10 minutes. When serving, remember to take out the toothpicks. Present the steak with whatever sides that are easy for you. My favorite is mashed potatoes, gravy and a quick salad. Whala, your done for today!!

STAT Cooking is the brainchild of two sisters who live almost 500 miles apart, one in upstate New York and one in New Jersey. Lynne is a nurse who oddly enough, despite her addiction to all that is Bergdorf Goodman, can put together a fabulous meal for her three children and hunky husband with a smile on her face. Ann is a lawyer turned stay at home mom who is obsessed with design in every manifestation, has an ETSY shop, and authors a design blog. She, of course, turns grumpy the minute she hits the kitchen as she would rather be flipping through Domino or perusing Decor8 than touching food and yet she must provide nourishing meals for her loved ones. This blog is dedicated to those of you who for whatever reason do not enjoy the kitchen or the grocery store or cooking shows. We are going to make your life more livable by giving you meal options that will minimize your time in the kitchen but create yummy, nutritious meals for your loved ones. Bon Appetit!
